Special Education Services - Early Childhood

USD 232 Early Childhood provides special education evaluations and services to district students that are not yet kindergarten eligible.  (Kindergarten eligible students should discuss special education needs and questions with their neighborhood elementary school.).  Special education services are provided on a continuum and include varied supports based on student's individual needs.  Special Education support staff includes Special Education Teachers, Para Educators, Speech Pathologists, School Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Social Workers, Audiologists, TVIs, O&Ms, DHH and a building nurse.

If you have moved into the USD 232 boundaries and your child has an active IEP, please contact Jessee Altman, School Psychologist, at 913-667-1820.

We have additional information about free developmental screenings, to determine if special education services are needed.
