What Parents are Saying

“Over the past 3 years, our family had a true partner and advocate in our PAT Parent Educator. She set my family on a trajectory for success and helped us navigate the parent-child relationship that was completely foreign to my husband and I as first time parents. This program is the difference between navigating with a compass and navigating without one.”

“I feel like my Parent Educator truly cares about the health and well-being of my children. In doing one of the screening events, we caught an astigmatism in my daughter’s eye resulting in the need for glasses, that I know would have gone undetected by yearly pediatrician visits and could have much likely worsened her good eye.”

“I personally have been able to make friends through my children’s play groups and have gotten to know my community better with activities they do outside of the school. I have nothing but praise to say for my Parent Educator and this program.  My family and I are so thankful to be a part of it.”

“I just cannot say enough positive things about it! I do not know how I would have gotten through the early years with my kid without them.  That being said, I had a support group and reasonable income. So, I know that people with even less resources could utilize it even more than I could. I think it’s a wonderful, wonderful program and would be helpful to everyone!”

“Parents as Teachers has helped our family in so many wonderful ways that stretch far beyond simply helping our baby to crawl and then walk.  In a way, it has helped my husband and I to crawl and now walk this parenting path, giving us the confidence that we needed to truly be our daughter’s first teachers. I just wish every family in our district could experience the magic that is Parents as Teachers! You guys are so wonderful and we are so thankful!”
