Elizabeth Durkin
PAT Coordinator/Parent Educator
Elizabeth serves as Coordinator for the Parents as Teachers program. Her employment with USD 232 Parents as Teachers began as a Parent Educator in 2017 and she became Coordinator of the program in July 2023. Prior to becoming a Parent Educator, Elizabeth was the Director of Grants Management at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA). She has been working in the Education and Social Service field with children and families domestically and internationally since 2006.

Tina Carrera
Parent Educator
Tina is a Parent Educator for the De Soto Parents as Teachers program. She graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a bachelor's degree in early childhood and Elementary Education. She has a master's degree in early childhood special education from the University of Kansas. Tina was an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for 32 years prior to joining the P.A.T. team. She has taught in DeSoto school district for 18 years. She is excited to be able to work with the youngest population of our district and their families

Debbie Reischman
Parent Educator
Debbie is a Parent Educator for the De Soto Parents as Teachers program. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor's degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences and then received her master's degree in Special Education from University of Saint Mary. Prior to this position, Debbie worked as a Special Education teacher for USD 458 and USD 232 and was a parent educator for USD 202. She lives in the district with her husband and two kids. As a parent educator, she loves building relationships with families and supporting them as they learn together.
